Partly fluorinated 4-(cyanotetrafluorosulfanyl)-phenyl or benzoate derivatives (I) of (hetero)cyclic compounds are new. Partly fluorinated 4-(cyanotetrafluorosulfanyl)-phenyl or -benzoate derivatives (I) of (hetero)cyclic compounds of formula (A; X = R<1>-(A<1>-Z<1>)m-A<2>-Z<2>-) are new. R<1> = hydrogen (H) or optionally substituted and/or modified 1-15 carbon (C) alk(en)yl; A<1>, A<2> = optionally substituted cycloaliphatic or (hetero)aromatic rings; Z<1>, Z<2> = a linking group or single bond; m = 0, 1 or 2; L<1>, L<2> = H, fluorine (F) or chlorine (Cl).
