The Christmas tree stand has a basic body (14) and movable and fixable holder (2) for the end of the Christmas tree trunk. The holder is attached to the basic body by a ball-and-socket joint consisting of a spherical link-part (6) detachably held between two spring (12)-pre-tensioned sockets (8,9).
