For coupling the spindle and the tool holder there are provided radially displaceable locking members (20), which, in the coupled state, are supported against radially outward displacement by a positioning sleeve (21) arranged on the receiving body and located in its locking position, and when the positioning sleeve is displaced axially forwards against spring pressure into a release position, the locking members are displaceable radially outwards, so that the tool holder (10) can be removed from the spindle. Between the receiving body and the positioning sleeve there is arranged a damping spring (25) supporting the positioning sleeve in its locking position.
