PURPOSE: An optical recording medium is provided to obtain a stable signal and improve reflectivity. CONSTITUTION: An optical recording medium has a stacked structure of a flat substrate, a reflecting layer, an information surface where an information pit is formed, a first dielectric layer, a recording layer, a second dielectric layer and a lubricating layer. Another example of the optical recording medium has a stacked structure of a reflecting layer, a substrate where an information pit is formed, a first dielectric layer, a recording layer, a second dielectric layer and a lubricating layer. As a result, the information surface is formed after forming the reflecting layer on the flat substrate, or a reflecting film is formed on the rear surface of the substrate, thereby obtaining the stable signal. As a thickness of the reflecting layer has no limit, the reflecting layer can be formed thick, thereby increasing reflectivity. |
