The connection consists of a holder part (10) on the first component and a plug part (11) on the second component. When the plug part is positioned in the holder part, it charges a signal unit (14). This produces a signal, which can be detected from outside, while the plug part is locked in the holder part. The signal unit is a switching circuit (17) with a contact (18), operated by the plug part, and a resonant circuit (27). When the contact is closed, the resonant circuit is excited by an appliance moved into its proximity, and its resonance can be detected.
