PURPOSE: A flat panel display is provided to enable a user to see a picture in various directions by making light, generated when electrons from a cathode strike a fluorescent substance, go in one direction. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of transparent cathode electrodes(5) are formed on one surface of the first substrate(1) so as to have a predetermined pattern. A graphite layer(9) is formed on one surface of each cathode electrode so as to have a predetermined pattern. A plurality of partition walls(15) are formed between cathode electrodes so as to have a predetermined height. The second substrate(3) is disposed spaced apart from the first substrate(1) and is adhered with the first substrate so as to maintain an inner space between the first and second substrates(1,3) at a vacuum state. A plurality of transparent anode electrodes(11) are formed on one surface of the second substrate(3). A fluorescent layer(13) is formed on one surface of each transparent anode electrode.
