PURPOSE: A volume setting apparatus and method are provided so that makes a user stable listening from an audio system installed in a computer. CONSTITUTION: A volume controller (10) records/reads a volume output level and outputs a proper volume control signal to keep the proper volume level. A receiver detector generates a receive control signal when a receiver is inserted into a system. A volume comparator compares a preset volume level with a present volume level by receiving the receiving control signal and generates a volume level control signal as a result of the comparison so as to display a sound under the preset volume level. A sound display displays the corresponding sound in accordance with the proper volume control signal. |
