PURPOSE: A multi-domain liquid crystal display device is to provide a characteristic of wide view angle with multi-domain effect and a characteristic of high brightness by stable movement of liquid crystal particles upon application of voltage. CONSTITUTION: A multi-domain liquid crystal display device comprises: a first substrate(31)and a second substrate(33) arranged opposite to each other; a liquid crystal layer formed between the first and the second substrates; many gate interconnects and data interconnects formed on the first substrate in longitudinal and transverse directions to form pixel area; a pixel electrode formed in the pixel area; a dielectric structure(41) formed on the area except the pixel area to maintain constant space between the first substrate and the second substrate and to distort electric field applied to the dielectric layer; a common electrode formed on the second substrate; and an alignment film formed on at least one of the first and the second substrates.
