PURPOSE: A B-WLL(Broadband Wireless Local Loop) interface unit for connection with a broadband bidirectional wireless communication network in a collective terminal is provided to execute access between a base station and a collective terminal in a TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) method and to offer voiceband data communication service, as well as voice service, to group subscribers. CONSTITUTION: A B-WLL interface unit consists of an RF unit(12), B-WLL modems(15), a processor(17), a time switch board interface unit(16), an IF combiner(13), and an IF unit(14). The RF unit(12) converts an RF signal received through an antenna into an IF signal or converts an IF signal inputted from the IF combiner(13) into an RF signal. The B-WLL modems(15) executes digital signal processing, such as A/D conversion, D/A conversion, channel coding/decoding to correct errors, interleaving/deinterleaving, modulation/demodulation, etc. The IF unit(14) executes up-conversion/down conversion to convert an IF band signal inputted from the IF combiner(13) into a B-WLL modem part input signal. The IF combiner(13) combines the output of the IF unit(14) and transmits the combined signal to the RF unit(12). The processor(17) executes a function to set up, maintain or release the connection between a collective terminal and a base station using a TDMA method.
