In the present invention there is disclosed a process for preparing parboiled pulses without subsequent drying and without use of chemical and stabilizing admixtures. The preparation process is characterized in that first surface contaminants are removed from dry pulses by washing, whereupon soaking thereof in water free of chemical admixtures takes place for a period of 3 to 30 hours. Subsequently pulses are exposed for a period of 10 to 25 minutes to the action of electromagnetic waves with frequency 2450 MHz and a temperature higher than 100 degC. After removal of microwave medium pulses are cooled down to temperature within the range of 3 to 8 degC. In the end they are vacuum-packaged at underpressure of 0.09 MPa in cook-in pouch bags the wall thickness of which is at least 100 micrometers. |
