Polarized panel mounted electrical connector

A polarizing system is provided for a panel mount electrical connector assembly. A panel (10) includes an elongated opening (12) with an enlarged area (14) at one end thereof. A connector (18) includes an elongated mating portion (24) insertable into the elongated opening in the panel. The mating portion is defined by opposite longitudinal sides and opposite ends. A pair of polarizing projections (38) are located at one end of the mating portion (24) and are insertable into the enlarged area (14) at the one end of the panel opening (12).
