Disclosed in the application is a connector mounting system wherein a connector (18) is placed in contact with a counterpart (2) by means of a mounting tool (5) and a guiding block (11) that acts together with said tool and is fixed in relation to the counterpart. The system can be applied in installations of telecommunications equipment especially when using optical connectors.
