Bicycle with profiled handgrips

The handlebar (1) is made from a tube with its free ends (3) carrying hand grips (4) and having a double angle of inclination so they converge towards the front and upwards. The forward convergence is some 10 degrees relative to the lengthwise plane of the bicycle, and the upward angle (Beta) is between 30 and 50 degrees to the horizontal. Each hand grip is made from a semi-rigid plastic and has projecting thrust sections (5, 6) for the outer edge of the palm of the hand and the base of the thumb.
