In the present invention there are disclosed an addition salt of 3-[2-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)-1-piperidyl]ethyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-2-methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one, usually known under name of risperidone with pamoic acid, of the general formula I as a novel substance and intended for use as a medicament, further a process for preparing the above specified salt, which preparation process is characterized in that 3-[2-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)-1-piperidyl]ethyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-2-methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one is treated with pamoic acid in a solvent being inert with respect to this reaction. In the present invention there is also claimed a pharmaceutical preparation based on this salt.
