In the present invention there are described derivatives of piperidine-4-carboxylic acid of the general formula A, in which Z represents the group of the general formula (i) or a carbonyl group, Ri1 represents hydrogen or Ri2, Ri2 represents an alkyl group containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms or Ri1 and Ri2 together form a chain {-(CHi2)in-}, wherein n is3, 4 or 5 or a chain {-(CHi2)O(CHi2)i2-}, m is 0 or 1, p is 1 or 2, Ri3 represents hydrogen or {-COCHi3} and Ri4 represents hydrogen, {-CHi3}, {-OH} or {-OCHi3} with the proviso that when Z represents the carbonyl group then p is 2, further pharmaceutically acceptable salts of those derivatives, several processes of their preparation as well as their use for preparing pharmaceutical preparations. The invented derivatives exhibit both local anaesthetic and analgesic activities.
