An interdental plastic insert for separating teeth during treatment e.g. fillings, has a tapering triangular wedge (14) which is inserted into the gap between the bases of adjacent teeth. The wedge has a flat base with two concave upper faces (16) to fill the gap. The ridge (18) separating the upper faces is joined to a thin plastic blade (22) which fills the gap between the teeth. A rectangular block (12) covers the head of the wedge. Clear plastic is used to allow the transmission of light to polymerize the dental filling. |
