<p>In a method for use in biological purification of waste water, the water is passed through at least one bioreactor containing bioelements on which microorganisms grow which can produce the desired conversion of the polluting substances in the waste water. In addtion to nitrification, the bioreactor is used for denitrification by periodically carrying out flushing of the bioelements with a fluid, preferably air or deoxidized water, for so short periods of time that the microorganisms do not suffer damage, but sufficient for the bioelements to be cleaned of dead biomaterial. Also disclosed is a system which, with various units, may be designed for concrete wishes, and moreover a bioelement is disclosed.</p> |
