PURPOSE: An OSD(on-screen display) processing apparatus of a digital TV is to receive an OSD image through an IIC bus interface to reduce the number of pins, and also reduce input time delay due to the IIC bus interface. CONSTITUTION: An IIC interfacing portion receives an IIC bus signal to output an extended address, data and a control signal necessary to an OSD process. A serial-parallel converter stores data, which is output from the IIC interfacing portion, in parallel and then output the data. An IIC register portion outputs an address for storing OSD data and an address output from the IIC interfacing portion at the same time. A write address generating portion temporarily stores data output from the serial-parallel converter using the address output from the IIC interfacing portion, and then stores the data using the address output from the IIC register portion. In the serial-parallel converter, a ward converter converts image data in one bite unit output from the IIC interfacing portion into the image data in eight-bite unit.
