PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyvinyl alcohol-made hydrogel suitable for a medical material excellent in tensile strength, heat resistance and pollution resistance. SOLUTION: This medical hydrogel is composed of polyvinyl alcohol-made hydrogel obtained by saponifying a copolymer of vinyl ester and triallyl isocyanurate. Or vinyl ester and triallyl isocyanurate are copolymerized, and next, the obtained copolymer is soaked in an alkali-added lower alcohol aqueous solution to be hydrolyzed. |
