PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving sea weeds, capable of changing the color of the preserved sea weeds into green color by salting or cooling the gathered sea weeds without blanching the sea weeds. SOLUTION: This method for preserving sea weeds comprises a hot water treatment process comprising immersing gathered sea weeds in hot water to change the color of the sea weeds into green color and a preservation process comprising salting or cooling the sea weeds for preventing the deterioration of the sea weeds. In the method for preserving the sea weeds, the hot water treatment process is preferably carried out as a post treatment process after the preservation process. A solution containing zinc ion and iron ion is preferably used as the hot water used in the hot water treatment process. |
