<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the formability, the repulsive characteristic and the coating film adhesion of a golf ball covering material. SOLUTION: This covering material is mainly composed of a mixture prepared by blending metallic soap prepared by neutralizing below 29C organic acid with monovalent-trivalent metallic ions, with a base resin by a ratio of (95:5)-(80:20), and the base resin includes an ionomer resin component including a ternary ionomer resin composed of a metallic ion neutralized matter of olefin- unsaturated carboxylic acid-unsaturated carboxylate copolymer having below 12 wt.% of acid content as ionomer resin component, and a binary ionomer resin composed of metallic ion neutralized matter of olefin-unsaturated carboxylic acid copolymer of below 15 wt.% of acid content by (40:60)-(100:0) wt. ratio, and an unneutralized random copolymer of olefin and unsaturated carboxylic acid, by a wt. ratio of (75:25) to (100:0). The melt index of the covering material is above 1 dg/second.</p> |
