<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a person who cannot recognize voice owing to a low auditory function by providing a stimulating means for stimulating the sense of touch in the person to be measured in order to make him or her recognize information concerning measurement in a tonometer for automatically measuring the blood pressure value of a living body. SOLUTION: When blood pressure measurement is started, the stimulating means 3 is vertically operated, a pain stimulation is given to the living body held by a measuring part 1, the operation of the means 3 is stopped simultaneously with a measurement end and information concerning measurement(a measurement start, being measured and the measurement end) is recognized. The stimulating means 3 can be the one by which the stimulating operation is executed only in the start and end of measurement to permit the person to recognize information concerning measurement. He or she is made to recognize that measurement is being executed by giving the touch simulation so that inconvenience that voice is not recognized and the body is separated during measurement in a conventional voice recognition type tonometer is eliminated and,then, even the deaf person to be measured can correctly measure the blood pressure value.</p> |
