PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmitting unit to be used for various shift control units by separating a power transmitting unit provided with a handle bar fitting member and a cable converting device for converting direction of a control cable from a shift control unit. SOLUTION: A shift control unit 42 is installed in a handle 14 at a position close to a left grip part thereof, and a shift control unit 46 is installed in the handle 14 at a position close to a right grip part thereof. Each one end of control cable segments 70, 80 are connected to the shift control units 42, 46, and the other ends thereof are connected to a power transmitting unit 90. A housing 150 is formed of an upper wall, a rear wall and a bottom wall, and two pulley-like cable direction converting members are fitted to the rear wall freely to be rotated in relation to each other. With this structure, the power transmitting unit 90 can be used for various shift control units by changing the only two pulleys so as to be adapted for the a different shift characteristic of the shift control units. |
