PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cool an overheat part including each guide part by dividing a head-side cooling water chamber into a feed chamber and a discharge chamber, and connecting one end of a communicating passage between an injection valve guide part and an exhaust guide part within the thickness of a cylinder head part to the feed chamber, and the other end thereof to the discharge chamber. SOLUTION: Most of the cooling water supplied into a feed chamber 14 of a cylinder head part through a cooling water inlet port 16 (for example, 70-80%) is carried to an injection valve guide part 12 as shown by an arrow A through a communicating port 8 every cylinder and collided therewith, and it effectively cools, when carried in a communicating passage 25, an overheat part facing the communicating passage 25 such as the injection valve guide part 12, exhaust valve guide parts 23, 23, a bulkhead 24 and the like. Thereafter, the cooling water is fed into the discharge chamber 14, carried in the direction B, and supplied to, for example, the water chamber of an exhaust manifold through an outlet 26. On the other hand, the residue of the cooling water enters the discharge chamber 15 through a liner-side communicating passage to. effectively cool a cylinder block part between the cylinders.
