PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brakelike unit equipped with characteristics of reducing noises and oscillation, which is inexpensive, is of space economy, can be selectively engaged, and furthermore, can also be engaged/disengaged. SOLUTION: This unit 20 is equipped with a pressure sensitive adhesive tape or another sound attenuation material 52 disposed around the outer circumferential sides in the radial direction of one or plural component parts of the unit. The unit 20 is also equipped with sound attenuating bubs 54 and 56 disposed around the inner circumferential sides of the frictional plates 34 and 36 of the unit 20. The hubs and the frictional plates shall be kept in a state that they sufficiently come in contact with a driving shaft 22 or a driving hub 26 so as to be rotated together with the shaft or the hub, and furthermore, the hubs are also equipped with plural plate springs for moving the hubs and the frictional plates in the axial direction in such a way that the frictional plates are quietly engaged/disengaged when the unit is engaged/disengaged.
