A composite tube for lining a pipe comprises an inner polyethylene layer (2), a layer (4) of aluminium and an outer layer (6) of polyethylene. The tube is inserted into a pipe, and air or gas pressure within the tube is increased to expand the tube until its outer dimensions match the inner dimensions of the pipe and the aluminium layer is expanded beyond its elastic limit. |
