PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask which does not adopt a filter method as a principle and can exhibit a preventive effect for pollinosis, the other allergy and cold by holding isothiocyanic acid ester in a microcapsule or a clathrate, which is put in an air permeable bag. SOLUTION: When isothiocyanic acid ester reacts with protein, the protein is changed to extinguish the property as allergen. As the isothiocyanic acid ester is volatile, it is formed into a clathrate. As a material for clathrating the isothiocyanic acid ester, cyclodextrine is typical. The clathrated powder is put in a bag which is air-permeable and does not pass the powder, and held in gauze to form a mask. Further, a microcapsule may be used as well as the clathrate. That is, isothiocyanic acid ester is dissolved in a non-polar solvent and fine particles are covered with wall material such as latex or the like. |
