PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a polypropyrene terephthalate having high melt polymerization and solid polymerization speed, and producing a polymer of good heat stability, hydrolysis resistance, and tone of color. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of a polypropylene terephthalate, polymerization is carried out in the presence of a titanium compd. (A) and a magnesium compd. (B) as a polymerization catalyst, in manufacturing the polypropylene terephthalate by reacting a glycol component composed mainly of 1,3-propane diol with a lower alkyl ester component of a bifunctional carboxylic acid composed mainly of terephthalic acid or a bifunctional carboxylic acid mainly composed of dimethyl terephthalate.
