PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an accident due to a metallic foreign matter included in garbage. SOLUTION: A connection pipe 5 formed of a non-metallic material is provided between a mounting tube 3 mounted on a sink 2 and a shredding chamber 11 of a disposer 1. A metal sensor 8 for detecting a metal passing through an interior of the connection pipe 5 is provided outside of the connection pipe 5 and an operation controller that makes a quick interruption of operation of a drive motor 16 electrically by a detection signal of the metal sensor 8 is installed. The metallic foreign matter is detected in an early stage of charging, and the motor 16 is interrupted before the foreign matter falls on a rotative blade 12 and is sent flying so as to prevent the foreign matter from being bitten between the rotative blade 12 and a fixed blade 13, and charge of the foreign matter is displayed and removal is made easy. The connection pipe 5 can be omitted by constituting a frame of a non-metallic material. |
