PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive hardening preventing structure for needle, which is improved in coating accuracy and unneccessitated in a driving means for cleaning to vertically move a syringe. SOLUTION: A needle cleaning device for coating device is provided with a solvent vessel 5 arranged under the original stopping position (b) of syringe 3 and housing a solvent 12 capable of dissolving the flowable coating agent, a cushioning body 10 such as rubber and a cushioning body moving means 20 for pressing the cushioning body 10 to the lower end of the needle 1 when the syringe 3 is existed in the original point stopping position (b) and for dipping the cushioning body 10 in the solvent 12 when the syringe 3 is apart (a) from the original point stopping position (b) to perform the coating work in the coating device constituted so as to applying the flowable coating agent onto a body to be coated from the needle 1 of the syringe 3 housing the flowable coating agent.
