PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high quality welding beads between two metallic plates by using a welding wire.feeder which changes a laminar degree of a welding bug and/or welding wire supplying rate and, a welding bug having a mechanism which drives on a periphery of a work along an orbit. SOLUTION: A direct current 20 is obtained by rectifying an alternating current 13 being generated at a generator 12, to which an electric power is supplied, with a rectifier 14. A phase controller 16 controls the rectifier 14 for generating a substantially even direct current 20, and puts it in a pulse width modulator 30. A pulse shape is controlled by a restoration circuit 32 and generates a given direct pulse from output terminals 34, 36. The direct current from the pulse modulator 30 flows across a welding area including a consumable core contained electrode 50 and a work 60. Welding of the work 60 is carried out when the electrode 50 is displaced between a short circuit status wherein the electrode 50 contacts with the work 60, and an arc status wherein the electrode 50 is separated from the work 60. A electric arc fuses an end of the electrode 50 under the arc status and keeps a fusion maintained against a next short circuit status.
