PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dimensional stability in association with a temperature change particularly with a small linear expansion coefficient in an extruding direction by incorporating a Vinylon short fibers of a specific ratio in an extrusion molding of an olefin resin, and orienting it in the extruding direction. SOLUTION: In case of extrusion molding an olefin resin, Vinylon short fibers of 2 to 5 wt.% are mixed, and oriented in an extruding direction. The fibers have each a fiber length of 0.5 to 3.0 mm, and its aspect ratio (length/size) is preferably about 30/400. As the olefin resin, a polyethylene or a propylene is suitable, and a composition obtained by suitably blending with an ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer, a modified polyolefin, a rosin, an inorganic filler (calcium carbonate or the like) or the like is used. This molding has good friction resistance, stain resistance of similar degree to or slightly better than a molding containing no fiber. The more the content of the fibers is, the slightly more the friction resistance and the stain resistance are improved. |
