PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a membrane matrix for construction, excellent in both stretchability and flame-or fire-proofness by laminating flame-retardant or incombustible material on a membrane comprising a fibrous knitted product through an adhesive. SOLUTION: This membrane matrix for construction is produced by laminating a covering layer 3 made of a stretchable, soft fluororesin, (e.g. a vinylidene fluoride-based copolymer) of a flame-retardant or incombustible material on the surface of a membrane basic material 1 comprising a fibrous knitted product through an adhesive layer 2 made of a silicone-based adhesive. The membrane basic material 1 is stretchable in longitudinal and transversal directions and is produced by knitting glass fiber yarn with a single Raschel loom so as to form warp-knitted signal Raschel fabric.
