PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus which can highly accurately correct a transfer position deviation at low costs and obtain color images of a good image quality. SOLUTION: An image data separate part 60 separates coloring material image data to first image data (halftone image data) requiring to be expressed in halftone and second image data (line image data) not requiring to be expressed in halftone. A line image data correct part 62 corrects line images requiring a highly accurate positional deviation correction with a smaller accuracy than by a unit of one pixel, while a halftone image data correct part 64 corrects halftone images to change a screen structure of each color. After the line image data and halftone image data are thus corrected in different processes, a laser modulation signal is generated on the basis of the two image data.
