PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give sufficient rigidity to a workpiece formed into a thin wall while receiving torque during rotational cutting to enable more accurate mirror face to be worked by cooling molten resin to join the resin solid body with the opposite side of the mirror face of the workpiece. SOLUTION: Molten resin 2 is cooled together with a heating vessel 1. the molten resin 2 is soldified and formed into a resin solid body 6, and the resin solid body 6 is released from the heating vessel. A workpiece 3 and the resin solid body 6 are joined together on the opposite side of the mirror surface of the workpiece 3 and integrated. The workpiece 3 imparted with high rigidity by the resin solid body 6 is fitted to a main spindle 11, and cut by a cutter 14 formed out of diamond. During the cutting, chatter and distortion of the material itself are sufficiently restrained, the mirror face 19 of a thin wall worked article 18 formed by cutting has sufficient mirror finish. After working, the resin solid dody 6 is reheated, and released from the thin wall worked article 18.
