PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a stand and front cover in a rotary tiller of side drive type and protect the link of a coupling device with the rotary tiller. SOLUTION: In this rotary tiller, a stand bracket 111 is fixed to a chain case 6, a stand 110 is supported by the stand bracket 111, the side of a fulcrum of the stand 110 is constituted of a slotted hole 10a, while the stand 110 is constituted in a U-shape in its sectional view and a spring for a detent is put inside of the stand. A front cover 125 is supported at four positions of the chain case 6, side supporters 129 and a main beam 127, the supported positions are brought to be outside of a lower link-fixing position and a binding device is assembled from one direction. The link fulcrum is arranged to a device for automatically detaching an automatic wire so that the fulcrum lies in front of a line connecting a linking point of a rotary top link and a fixing point of the lower link, above the fixing point of the lower link and inside of the lateral direction.
