PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire having a tread pattern improving partial wear resistance, low noise and vibration performance combinedly in addition to the improvement of performance on ice and snow and wet performance. SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire has a tread pattern provided with four main grooves extended in the circumferential direction of a tread, and five ribs partitioned by the main grooves. In this case, a center rib 3 out of five ribs has lug grooves 6 alternately extended from the main grooves on both sides, with a length of 50% or more of the width of the center rib 3, and communicating grooves 7 circumferentially connecting the lug grooves 6. Sipes are provided in the groove bottom of the communicating grooves 7. |
