PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in biodegradability and capable of manifesting a low exhaust smoke and excellent preventing properties of blocking an exhaust system by using a specific polyol ester and a specified monoalcohol ester. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a polyol ester having 10-30 mm2/s kinematic viscosity at 100 deg.C (preferably an ester of trimethyolpropane or pentaerythritol with a 10-18C fatty acid) in an amount of 30-65 wt.% based on the total amount of the composition, (B) a monoalcohol ester having 0.8-2.1 mm2/s kinematic viscosity at 100 deg.C (preferably a 10-21C monoalcohol ester) in an amount of 20-55 wt.% based on the total amount of the composition and (C) an ashless detergent (preferably acid amides, etc.), in an amount of 4-15 wt.% based on the total composition, The kinematic viscosity of the composition at 100 deg.C is preferably 6-10 mm2/s and the biodegradability ratio according to a biodegradation test is preferably >=80%. The composition is suitably utilized for 2-cycle engines used on the water such as especially a leisure boat.
