PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a correct color image constantly even when the order of loading ink tanks to a plurality of loading positions is changed. SOLUTION: When the work for replacing or loading an ink tank is performed, a CPU recognizes the hue of ink contained in each ink tank (s2) and makes a decision whether the ink tanks 2 are loaded correctly to firth through sixth loading positions (s3). When execution of print processing is designated (s4), ink is ejected in the order of hue or the loading position from six ink tanks 2 (s5-s7). When ink ejection is controlled in the order of hue, the ink head is driven according to a preset order of hue. When ink ejection is controlled in the order of the loading position, the ink head is driven according to the order of loading position formed in the carriage. According to the arrangement, a correct color image can be formed even when the order for loading ink tanks is changed in the carriage. |
