PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance positional accuracy of ink dot by avoiding generation of strain in the guide face of a carriage due to the urging force of an urging means thereby sustaining the gap between the surface of a sheet and a print head accurately. SOLUTION: An image recorder comprises a carriage 41 for holding a print head 40 to translate with respect to a recording sheet S wherein a guide frame 60A for regulating the moving region of the carriage 41 is separated from a supporting frame 60B having stopping parts 66, 67 engaged with one end of a resilient member 100 urging pinch rollers 20 for clamping the recording sheet S in a predetermined direction. |
