PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate smooth sliding of a slide installed on the lid of a console box and reduce the manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: The lid 12 of a console box 10 is furnished with a lid body 21 and a slide 22 covering the lid body 21, and the slide 22 is supported slidably by a sliding mechanism 23, which is equipped with a pair of guide rails 51 on the sides fixed to the lid body 21 and a pair of sliding elements 52 located fore and aft attached to the slide 22. The sliding elements 52 are formed from leaf spring and hold the guide rails 51 pinchedly by rail pinching parts 54. The dimensional error of the guide rails is absorbed by deformation of the leaf springs, and it is possible to slide the slide 22 smoothly.
