BURGLAR-PROOF DEVICE FOR BICYCLE BASKET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put a burglar-proof cover member mounted to a basket into such a usable condition that the basket is closed during running of a bicycle. SOLUTION: A rotating shaft 3 for oscillating a cover member 4 mounted to a basket 1 and a lock lever portion 9 of a locking mechanism 5 are connected to each other via a rotation transmitting means, so that the cover member 4 may be put in the condition that the basket 1 is closed during running of a bicycle by associating the opening/closing operation of the cover member 4 with the locking/unlocking operation of the locking mechanism and the basket 1 may be automatically released from closing by associating the opening operation of the cover member 4 with the locking operation to cause the lock lever portion to be rotationally moved from a non-locked position to a locked position during parking.
