PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a metal foil clad laminated sheet lowered in the elastic modulus of an epoxy resin by the addition of a plasticizer, suppressed in the coefficient of thermal expansion in a surface direction, low in the coefficient of thermal expansion and reduced in the falling-off of a resin powder at a time of punching processing. SOLUTION: Epoxy resin varnish, in which rubber particles having a core- shell structure produced by coating a rubber elastic particle core incompatible with an epoxy resin with a shell layer compatible with an epoxy resin are dispersed, is infiltrated into a sheetlike fiber base material and the impregnated base material is dried to form a prepreg. This prepreg is used in a part or the whole of a prepreg layer to be subjected to thermal pressure molding.
