PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic equipment low in cost, excellent in performance and capable of performing reception by the number of vibrators exceeding the double of the number of beam former channels in an array type ultrasonic diagnostic equipment using fold-over. SOLUTION: In reception fold-over addition, by a cross-point switch 110A provided with an adder means 120A for adding reception signals from the plural unequal number of the vibrators adjacent to an ultrasonic probe 100 where the plural number of vibrators are arrayed, the reception signals are effectively added and the number of the reception signals is reduced. Then, they are converted to digital signals in an A/D converter 130 and stored in a memory 140 and phasing delay addition is performed by a beam former 150.
