PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a thermal transfer image, to improve printability and to suppress a blocking development by using an acrylic resin having an acid value of a specific value or below as a thermoplastic resin for constituting an acceptive layer. SOLUTION: An acid value of an acrylic resin is set to 50 or less to improve bonding of a print layer to an acceptive layer and a fault of transferring part of a component of a printed part to a rear surface of a thermal transfer acceptive sheet can be eliminated. A mechanism of this phenomenon is not clear, but this is considered to contribute to solubility of a printing liquid used in the case of forming the print layer in a solvent. A blocking does not occur as well. Here, the acid value is a numeric value for representing a free acid radical and ester bonding amount in the resin, and is represented by number of mg of a potassium hydroxide for neutralizing the acid content of Ig of the resin. As the acrylic resin, a resin having a glass transition temperature of 40 deg.C or higher is used to further suppress blocking even when a magnetic layer is provided on an opposite surface. |
