PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel belt jointing method which is advantageous in welding quality and productivity when three different kinds of steel belts are jointed to manufacture a steel belt used for a tailored blank method. SOLUTION: In this jointing method, when edge parts of three different steel belts 1, 2, and 3 are continuously welded, a welding roll 7 and a presser roll 5 of a center steel belt 2 are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the proceeding direction and presser rolls 4 and 6 of both side steel belts 1 and 3 are passed between plural presser rolls inclined. Laser welding is performed to three steel belts while a width direction force is applied to the steel belts on both sides by inclining the presser rolls, so that a pressurizing force is worked on an edge part end between the steel belts 1 and 3 of both sides. |
