PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold-down structure of a return spring for a parking pole capable of preventing the return spring from slipping off and also from breakage. SOLUTION: This hold-down structure of a return spring for parking pole comprises a parking pole 17 to constitute a parking mechanism, a shaft 18 to support the pole 17 rotatably, a return spring 20 set winding on the shaft 18 and with one end engaged with the pole 17 and the other end engaged by a case member 1, and a hold-down plate 22 abutting to the return spring 20 and preventing slipping off from the pole 17, wherein the plate 22 is formed by press working with a sagged surface 22a due to press working generated at the peripheral edge of one side, and the side with the sagged surface 22a is abutted to the return spring 20.
