PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain water storage device facilitating the maintenance capable of simply eliminating a solid part accumulated on filling bodies filled in a water storage tank. SOLUTION: A rain water storage device is so constituted that the inside of a water storage tank 1 constructed by digging down the ground is filled with synthetic resin filling bodies 8 equipped with a plurality of posts 8a by arranging them lengthwise and crosswise, at the same time, piling them up and down and that covering devices 10, 11 12 and 13 are applied thereon. Then, a solid part discharging channel 2 is formed in the bottom of the water storage tank 1, water sprinkle pipes 14 having a large number of water jetting holes at least between the posts 8a of the upper filling bodies 8 are arranged or air diffusing pipes having a large number of exhaust holes at least between the posts of the lower filling bodies are arranged to constitute the rain water storage device. When water is jetted to the filling bodies 8 from the water sprinkle pipes 14 or when air is made to bubble from the air diffusing pipes to contact bubbles to the filling bodies 8, solid parts accumulated on the surfaces of the filling bodies 8 are easily eliminated and are discharged through the channel 2.
