PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide socks simple in knitting for tubular part and sewing for tiptoe part, capable of automating all the works, excellent in manufacturing efficiency and dimensional accuracy. SOLUTION: The socks comprise sole part 3 knitted with heat shrinkable yarn simultaneously knitted in the knitting of the tubular part. In this process, the sole part 3 and the instep part 4 are knitted in the same form and the same size. The finishing heat process is carried out after the end of the tubular part is sewn. The finishing heat treatment makes the heat shrinkable yarn of the sole part 3 to shrink and the sewing line 5 transfers to the sole part 3.
