<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for rolling-reduction capable of preventing generation of twist of a billet around its axis in the longitudinal direction after rolling-reduction, i.e., twist of a billet, in obtaining a billet having a prescribed sectional shape and size by executing rolling-reduction of a corner and its vicinity of a billet of nearly square in cross section with a caliber roll having a prescribed sectional shape. SOLUTION: In a method of rolling-reduction of a corner part and its vicinity of a billet 1 of nearly square in a cross section with a caliber roll 2 having a prescribed sectional shape, correction of position or of the position and posture of the caliber roll is executed so that a component in the direction of the caliber roll rotary center axis of the counter force of rolling-reduction exerted on the caliber roll 2 from the billet 1 may become zero at the time of rolling- reduction.</p> |
